Benson Snow Report - 2011-02-06

Post by pablo » February 6th, 2011, 6:51 pm

Did the Ruckel Ridge loop for a spot of exercise and what was surprising was the total lack of snow at the top of the loop part of the Benson Plateau. Here's a shot around the creek crossing:

Of course, like last year it could all change over the next month.

Nice "spot of excercise"! Thanks for the report - I was wondering what the snow situation is up there. amazing.

Went up the PCT on Saturday, Feb 5th. We stopped at the overlook at 3,000 feet. The only snow was a patch in the trees (off-trail) at the edge of the overlook. Did not see any snow on the forested trail immediately uphill of the overlook.
