Hiked Mt Talbert in Portland, the Perimeter Loop and to the Summit, making it 5.3 miles and 1100' gain.
We started from the Sunnyside TH. The small parking lot was full and on our return, the road lined with cars. Somewhat surprising as we saw only 2 other people until the very end of our hike.
We checked out the Mather parking lot during our hike and noticed the gate was closed. There was no sign explaining why, but Metro's website says they closed their parks due to the weather. The trails were in good shape other than a lot of conifer needles and small branches on the trail.
It was a pleasant hike, protected from the wind except at the summit. The trail was mostly covered with snow/ice; we wore microspikes. Ice was on the trees near the summit.

That's a nice hike
I wish there was a view from the top.
Too many of those obnoxious trees
