Eb and I went up and watched the sunrise on Defiance this morning and I wanted to share the views.
Snow cover is trivial to none on the main N->S route to the junction at the temporary signs, and along the talus around the west. There are still isolated patches of 1/2" thick ice on the short section of trail that follows the road from the summit back down to the junction.
We arrived at the talus at the south end just as the sun was coming up...
... and enjoyed the views while consuming several cups of instant coffee and snacks.
The views to the north were also very clear this morning.
Never a disappointment up there when the weather is nice.
Happy Hiking!

Absolutely beautiful! I am determined to climb that mountain in 2015, even if it takes an entire day! Very beautiful.

That second photo is fantastic, one of the best photo's I have seen in a while, a 10/10.
You should get that one in a gallery wrap and hang it up.
