miniscule rerouting of Dick Thomas

Post by woodswalker » January 31st, 2015, 4:25 pm

No views Friday and there was a recent trip report on this so just a quick note. The Dick Thomas TH was moved about 100 feet west to avoid the blackberries! Yeah!! There is signage. It's pretty obvious. It makes for a much more pleasant hike start. Oh and I had never seen the peacocks there before.

Views, Not so much! But the moss was nice.

I always forget how well graded this trail once you get to Carpenter Lake. Easy walking, no real worries about foot placement. Despite no views it was nice to get out.
