Hamilton Buttes Summit Backpack and Mud Lake: 4-12-14

Thanks! This another one of those summits I saw described in Dan Nelson's Book(Day Hiking South Cascades) in the Dark Divide/Cispus River Area. It has a motorized trail that goes all the way to the summit, unlike some in the area where there are motorized trails close-by but a "hiker only" trail to the summit. That means that after the snow melts you could potentially see a lot of riders come roaring up to the summit, so I wouldn't camp up there unless it was covered in snow.
