Dang, it seems like every little stream in the Gorge was emulating the first fIREHOSE album this weekend.

Great video Guy. The picture of the fire reminded me of Tom Hanks in that movie where he yells at the volleyball a lot. "I have made fire!" :D

All of these raging creek tr's will make for some awesome comparison photos once late august/early sept. rolls around.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, we had a lot of fun yesterday! Amazing how quickly the water goes up & down in those creeks. The flow over Triple Falls decreased quite a bit just in the time between us passing by it on the way in the morning & when we came back down after lunch.

I'm with Jerry on the alcohol, it should be drunk lets burn the paraffin :) ..
We hiked out from Nesika yesterday to the green gate and saw lots of water moving - and that was just on the road! Multnomah Creek was roaring - all the boulders submerged and banks overflowing. Even little Bridal Veil Creek was pounding down the mountain. Nice afternoon to be out.
Jeff, when we set out I had half an idea but do a loop up Franklin Ridge to Nesika & catch you guys up there but in the end we decided to have fun making fire instead!
hiking log & photos.

Wow! Great video and photos. I have also seen Triple Falls when it was so full of water that it became Double Falls, but I think this is a lot more water than I've ever seen for this hike.

Cheers! I applaud your fire-starting method. ;)

Your video does an excellent job of telling the tale of how the conditions were, and how much the water was raging. wow!
