Butler Creek Park

Post by Lekilei253 » February 6th, 2014, 5:56 pm

I wanted to get out and get some exercise, but with the impending weather didn't want to deal with driving out to the Gorge. So I found a neat little park in town. Butler Creek Park connects to the Butler Creek Greenway Trail and Springwater Corridor Trail.

It's a nice little park with a nice trail. Most of it is surrounded by private homes, but was still a nice little slice of nature. I saw a few other people out walking dogs and one lady looking for her cat, Klista. :( I didn't see Klista.

One could do an out and back hike or by walking on streets a loop of sorts.

Here's a map of the park.

I think the ducks wanted a snack, they followed me as I walked by. :)

Total about 2.3 miles, maybe 100ft elevation gain.

thanks for sharing this nice park. It isn't one I've explored before. I fled work early today and like you, took the chance to do some in-town hiking. We are spoiled with choices and I love it :)

Thanks for the report! Coincidentally, I just put this one in the Field Guide as a combo with Gresham Butte.
