Scott Williamson will attempt to break his record of 63 days. He will go southbound and should leave around Aug 1st.

@ OregonSurveyor: Was that you providing great estimates on FaceBook yesterday. Thanks!

@Retired Jerry: Was that you who provided Anish magic at Timberline? I've sent forward her projected miles for the next two days to another PCT trail angel 'Little River' who lives in Washington.

@Don: Sorry you didn't have an opportunity to meet her.

This woman needs to have a comet named after her!

I was hiking around Timberline the day she blazed through. I think I must have missed her by a few hours.

Hi Chris,
That was me posting the expected times and dong the trail angeling at Timberline :)
I'm a Jerry, just not retired yet...
My wife and I tracked her down at the Wy'East day lodge. She is pretty incredible and is already in to Washington!

Wow-she has morphed into one lean moving machine! This woman inspires me. You go, Anish!

As far as I can tell from the Facebook page, Anish is hoping to be at Snoqualmie Pass (PCT mile 2403) sometime tomorrow. I think tomorrow is day 55 for her and apparently she has been doing nearly 50 miles per day even in Washington.

So, on day 55 she will have 257 miles to Canada.

As far as I can tell, the fastest time on the PCT is 64 days, 11 hours, and 19 minutes, set by Scott Williamson 2 years ago.
If she can keep up 40 miles a day for just 6.5 more days, she will beat the record by something over 2 days...!

And according to scrambler2, Williamson is making another southbound speed attempt starting tomorrow!

Let me know if any part of that is inaccurate

Anish passed through Chinook Pass at 7pm tonight per a trail angel in Washington!

For those without easy access to FaceBook, here is her post from earlier today:

"Somehow, perhaps the adrenaline of nearly being done, I feel like Oregon and California never happened. As I dragged myself around Mt. Hood, I promised myself it was my last 50. Yet now that I am in Washington I keep pushing 50's. I am hiking until 11 or midnight because the terrain is harder, yet it doesn't matter. I am chronically fatigued and yet it doesn't matter. I don't feel the desperate relentlessness that I did in Oregon. I simply cannot stop. I charge through glacial rivers in the dark that I shouldn't be fording at night. I charge at mt. lions roaring. If I was a machine before I am something far more primal now. The end is close and nothing else seems to matter but getting there.

Snoqualmie tomorrow, come hell or high water."
