Breaking from the norm, I decided to hike on a trail today. The wife and I decided on University Falls.
Got to the trailhead around 2pm in a driving rain
Set out on the trail. It was in great shape all the way to the end.
Further down the trail, there's a junction and an old sign with a cool drawing on it.
Just around the corner from that sign was the falls, which were in full force today.
University Falls in the rain
Video. 720p is better clarity. Had to hurry things to keep the phone dry in the spray.
After a few minutes it was time to head back.
Once at the car, we headed to a couple of falls that were near highway 6.
Fern Rock Falls
Bridge Creek Falls, a nice 500 ft hike off the highway on an old stone trail.

Didn't GPS it. The trail is only 1/2 mile long at the most. it was pouring, so I just ran in and ran out. Total time was less then 20 minutes.

So ya, it'll be practically be just a pit stop to grab this on the GPS, unless you're trying to get the whole historic loop that includes the Gravelle Brothers Trail, Nels Rogers trail, and the Wilson River Wagon Road Trail.

Hey, Brian -- cool area down there, albeit swarming with OHVs in the wrong season. Did you get a peek at Stafford Falls from the highway on the way by...? Don't think it will be reachable until spring, now that the Wilson is roaring again..!
Thanks for posting!
