The Dogs of Oregon Hikers

Post by Waffle Stomper » August 15th, 2011, 8:50 pm

I love seeing all the dogs in the trip reports. I thought it would be fun if some of our furry friends were recognized in their own dedicated canine thread.

Please post your favorite pictures.

Gauge logs 25-40 miles a week with me hiking and snowshoeing. That nose of hers never stops moving ... and forget about getting a straight on shot of this dog!

Toughing it out in 14-degree weather and breaking trail.

This shot coming up the backside of Coyote Wall is what I normally see ... her always working (she is a recently retired hunting dog).

I'm almost always the sweep on my hikes ... it gives me an opportunity to taste test all the edible berries I seem to find.

Oscar is lookin' good & Chelsea is having a good rest.

Guage is recently retired? Looks like she still works part-time between hiking and snow adventures.
