Seeing that the one snotel near Mt Adams (north, on Potato Hill) went to zero a couple of days ago led me to drive up to Stagman Ridge trailhead (4200') later yesterday afternoon and I hiked the Stagman Ridge trail another thousand feet up to an area called Grassy Hill before hitting patchy snow. Since this trail is one a burned ridge, it melts out faster than other areas, so snow level may be lower in some other areas. But I wonder if it is already possible to drive to Taklakh.

Indian Heaven Report

Snow-free to Thomas Lake and around there. A few tiny snow patches getting there which will be gone soon. Eunice Lake camp still snow covered and looks like it needs a week or two. You will hit full snow before Brader Lake and at Rock Lake snow averages 2-3 feet. More when I post my trip report.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet but Silver Star is completely snow-free on the summit and all along Ed's Trail.

Got a firsthand report from someone who tried to drive to Takhlakh the day before yesterday. Still at least a foot to a foot and a half about a mile and a half from the lake. Most likely a bit more at the top of Babyshoe Pass.

On Sunday (6/8/14) I hiked to Bonney Meadows, Lower Boulder Lake and Boulder Lake via the Bonney Meadows Trail, Hidden Meadows Trail, Forest Creek Trail, Boulder Lake Trail loop (longer approach starting from FS road 4890).

There are some snow patches on the trail around Bonney Meadows, but the snow is not consistent. At most the patches are 100 feet or so long.
The trail can always be found.
Hiked on dirt 99% of the day.

The meadows are 100% melted

No mosquitos at all :P
