Yep!!
Superduper Bammola!! It was looking like # 1 was not going to happen then Tom / Roy sends a nice little message that he will probably be able to get some hiking in & he did, which means # 1 is done!! Thanks Tom / Roy & party crew EP, FK, ST & DD great day for a wandering loony drive & recliner hike with spectaculars views even if we did not go to original destinations :)

I didn't even set any goals for this year but hit 200' of EG and whatever miles,
I don't even care about miles or nights in the woods.

Since I hit 200 this year I suppose I'll try for 250 next, but I don't really
care what my EG is as long as I'm out hiking once a week. :)

But one goal for sure is a longer camping trip in the Wallowas so I can
bag those other peaks around Ice Lake that I didn't have time for. And maybe
do the Aneroid Lake/ Polaris Pass loop as well for a solo loony 1 day event.

I will keep adding items as I remember them:

Hood 360 in a day hike
Schwack list:

Upper Mccord Falls to Nesmith
Munra Point up to Moffet Creek - Oops, did this in '11 on 12-24
GreenLeaf Basin circumnav
Powerline trail stuff around Wyeth over to Starvation and other Starvation/Defiance area stuff

Cleanups:

Also there is a crack head campsite that will get cleaned up once the gate opens.

GPS work:

Attempt to make a mapset for my GPS unit with my tracks, also would like to incorporate
other tracks from other users but that will require some ground work in the people relations department. For people who know what I'm talking about, I am trying to make my own map like NW Topos that can be uploaded to users GPS. Just a for fun not for profit kinda thing. :)
Woo hoo, I forgot I had any goals for this year, got 1 done!

I have fulfilled my plans! The Mt. Whittier loop with Tom/Roy is postponed till 2013. Now just bring on a few more recliner hikes... :)
Some people are really fit at eighty; thankfully I still have many years to get into shape…

I even termed it right, mapset is a work in progress but at least I know it can load safely
onto other handheld GPS units! In beta testing now...

I'm hoping to meet or exceed what I'm close to doing this year in miles and EG (400 mi, 100k EG). As for hiking destinations, hopefully we'll not experience the late snowmelt next year that shortened the season so much! :). I want to backpack in at least three new places (so many places I've never been!) and hopefully get some time around Mt Hood and Indian Heaven. I'd also like to get back down around the Three Sisters for a backpacking trip. I want to summit South Sister.

So, how 'bout you? What are your goals?
Ah, reflection.

I did one backpack trip to a new place (Broken Top Area) which also took care of my goal to 'get back down around the Three Sisters area'. I did a day hike in Indian Heaven. Unfortunately I struggled with hiking after January's surgery and slow recovery. Guess South Sister will have to wait until next year. ;)

Never made it over anywhere near Mt Hood. In fact, I haven't done a hike in that area since the late 90's. Someday I've gotta get out and hike McNeil Point or something over there!

Hey! So how did people do on their goals?
potato wrote: My goals are:
-690 miles and 140,000 ft EG, basically 1.5x last year
-Climb Hood, Adams, and St. Helens
-Lose about 15 pounds by March and keep it off
-Try out a business idea and see how it goes
-Still need to compute the final numbers, but I think I met the mileage & EG goals (edit: looks like I got about 708 miles and 167,000' EG)
-Of these 3, I only climbed St. Helens. But I also climbed South Sister, and with the addition of Hood-loop-in-a-day, Helens-loop-in-a-day, and the Hatfield trail in 2 days I feel pretty satisfied :)
-I think I lost the weight by May or June and did keep it off... but I put 5 lbs back on in December, oops
-Well, we got a start on this but I've kinda been dropping the ball so far.
