Yes, with this weather, might be a short berry season.

Of course, the wild ones are far more tasty!

I've been eating blueberries for weeks. I'm always dissapointed how short the season is.

Saturday, 7-12, on the Big Huckleberry trail, above Grassy Knoll, sampled 2 huckleberries that were half-way dark, and a number of strawberries. Lots of huckleberries are on the bushes.

Red huckleberries along Eagle Creek today.

Plenty of blackberries on Mt. Tabor and along the Willamette Greenway, too.

No berries in Indian Heaven Wilderness July 18/19.

No blossoms or flowers that would become berries, either.

In luck today - high up on Quartz Creek (trip report coming soon). Since they were blue, I'm guessing blueberries and not huckleberries.

Found and ate some ripe Huckleberries along the Vista Ridge Trail on Wednesday 7/30/14.
