Garmin 64 no trails until zoomed in to 50ft level

Post by Lumpy » July 31st, 2014, 12:02 pm

The title says it all. I can't see any trails until I zoom in to the 50ft level, anything above that and there are not trails. It doesn't matter what map set I'm using, how I adjust the detail levels in setup, and any other settings I've tried on the unit.. Does anyone know what will bring the trails to be drawn at higher zoom levels?

So no one knows anything that might help me with this problem?

Sorry Lumps, I have a few Garmin's but not the newest 64 yet. I do know what might cause this problem
in a 62 but it happens when I'm working up mapsets. I can't imagine that 64 is much different than the 62
except for the new GLONASS feature?

Try this too, once in a great while I have to ask Garmin questions on this forum: https://forums.garmin.com/forum.php

Further snooping when I Googled your problem led me to the manual and I read this:
Advanced Map Settings
Select
Setup>Map>Advanced Map Setup

Auto Zoom
: Automatically selects the appropriate zoom level
for optimal use on your map. When
Off
is selected, you must
zoom in or out manually.
Zoom Levels
: Adjusts the zoom level at which map items will
appear. The map items will not appear when the map zoom
level is higher than the selected level.

I've been googling the issue for days, monkeyed around with the settings on the unit, and in Base Camp hoping changing something there might make a change I need. I'll look again and see what I find before I do a factory reset.
