Wyeth Trail (trailwork) as of 2014-04-10

Post by mcds2 » April 10th, 2014, 2:01 pm

Wyeth, unreportedly, had 8 trees across the trail in various places up to the upper stream crossing at about 2600'. I cleared them. None were dramatic except for the big one that spanned across a switchback at about 1700'. The early evening sun made the lighting to harsh for explanatory photos. I'm not sure about the status above 2600'. Your federal dollars were not involved.

Thanks all. Too much considering what a grrreat time I had on one of my favorite trails in the Gorge.

Brain, there is a slot waterfall hidden on First or Second feeding into Fish. It's visible from the road if you are looking in the right spot at the right place, and then a somewhat sketchy scramble down to it. If you havent seen it, I can dig up the some beta from February.

Sweet, is it one of the two that are across Fish Creek from the paved road down by the Clackamas River?

(Posting this from my camp in the Fish Creek drainage :P)
