Any idea what this plant is?

Any idea what this plant is?

Spotted this little ball up near the old logging equipment above Coldwater Lake on 5/11. It was about the size of a racquetball.

It looks a little like pussypaws, but pussypaws is not typically so ball-like — and probably not so early either.

The colors and leaves do look right though. I hadn't ever seen one balled up like that though either.

Either that is pussypaws or a group of mutant sedum. :D
