Does anyone know this mushroom?

I had a hard time finding out the name of this one. The diameter of this one is about 3 in. The stalk is very firm.

*Edit: Or if you know whether it's an edible. That would be great to know also.

Cascade russula (Russula cascadensis). Bad tasting but not poisonous as Arora states in his guide: "Better kicked than picked."
