Join Oregon Wild - working at the forefront of wolf conservation in Oregon - for a tasty beer with our friends at Base Camp Brewing in Portland and a presentation from Wolf OR-7 Expedition member Rachael Pecore-Valdez on December 10th at 6:00.
In 2014, the Wolf OR-7 Expedition retraced the approximate track generated by the GPS collar worn by the Oregon wolf known as OR-7. This young male grey wolf traversed over 1,200 miles through Oregon and into California, to become the first and only documented free-roaming wolf in California in nearly 90 years, and he is still out there . . . Now settled in Oregon with a mate and pups.
Expedition member Rachael Pecore-Valdez will share photos and stories from the exciting expedition and about wolves in Oregon. Oregon Wild will also fill you in on what we are doing to protect wolves in Oregon and across the West.

Re: Oregon Wild Wednesday: Wolf OR-7 Expedition
Sounds intriguing. Was this "retracing" done on foot? As a thru-hike style walk or with vehicle assistance?
