Hamilton Creek map/tracks

Post by everydayelk » April 23rd, 2014, 3:21 pm

Heyo,

I've been spending some time exploring the Hamilton Creek zone between Cedar and Hamilton Mountain and was wondering if any of y'all have a map handy of the old roads/tracks/beds/4X down in there, similar to this handy thing for the area north: http://images.summitpost.org/original/417233.JPG.

It'd be appreciated. I'm planning an "old train crap" overnighter up through there and on to Three Corner.

Thanks,

EE

See the Don Nelsen map at:

Looks like he pieced it together (to avoid upload restrictions?). That what you are looking for?

That's the one! Thank you.

Can anyone give me an idea of how that Hamilton Creek rr grade is now? And how the the routes up the PCT from down there are too I reckon.

In a nutshell very muddy but easily hiked if you don't mind the gullies, the ropes make passage easy.

2 good sized patches of poison Oak along the way but I hiked in shorts & had no problem.
hiking log & photos.
